Daniel Head, Business Development Manager at the Real Soup Company, has been voted in as the new Welsh Regional Chair for the National Association of Care Catering (NACC), with immediate effect.
The move is the culmination of a longstanding partnership between The Real Soup Company and the NACC. The producer of fresh soups, based in Ebbw Vale, Gwent, supplies many local authorities both within Wales and beyond, with Daniel as its main point of contact in the care sector.
Daniel paid tribute to outgoing chair, Pauline Batty, Catering Manager for Monmouthshire County Council, for making great strides in improving the quality of care catering in Wales.
“Now is all about keeping up the momentum and building on the fine work that Pauline and her team have overseen,” Said Daniel. “My job is to work with the chefs, suppliers and estate managers in the region to raise the bar yet again with regards to nutrition and hydration, while ensuring Wales has a strong, united voice at national level when the executive committee meets.”
Daniel will serve a minimum year term in the role, chairing three regional meetings and attending three national meetings per year.
The Real Soup Company is a supplier of premium fresh soups to the foodservice industry and sister company to The Real Deli Co. Both are owned by Zorba Delicacies, a South Wales manufacturer with over 40 years of industry experience.
