Care Roadshow Cardiff, hosted at Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday 17th October was the third time that organisers, Broadway Events, has brought the show to the welsh care community. Visitors travelled across the water and braced the threat of the incoming storm to source the latest innovations from the line-up of exhibitors including Educ8, Newhall Janitorial and Citation to name a few.
Run by The Suffolk Brokerage and the Suffolk Association of Independent Care Providers (SAICP), the Suffolk Care Awards were created from the desire to “shine a light on amazing individuals, care providers and care companies who do the crucial job of caring for Suffolk”.
In its second year, there has been a fantastic response once again and earlier this summer the finalists were announced; their details can be found on the Suffolk Care Awards website.

Our lovely miniature ponies Lollipop & Tinkerbelle will travel to Residential/Care Homes even going in lifts to visit residents who are unable to leave their rooms. They are gentle and affectionate and the residents love interacting with the ponies and there are smiles all round.
The ponies wear special tabards to prevent any little accidents left behind which gives everyone peace of mind. Ponies are known to offer therapeutic benefits to the vulnerable , elderly and very young.
They are intuitive and respond to the emotions of the people around them. The ponies also enjoy the visits as they get the occasional piece of forbidden cake or biscuit.
Chefs across Sunrise and Gracewell starched their whites earlier this month for “Taste of Sunrise and Gracewell”, the annual celebration of fine dining and nutritious food hosted by the care providers. Ahead of Nutrition and Hydration Week 2016 (5-13 March), every Sunrise community and Gracewell home hosted exciting events for its residents and staff, who were joined by friends, family members and neighbours.
From a seaside-themed dining experience at Sunrise of Mobberley, complete with fish and chips, homemade ice cream, a Punch and Judy show, and inflatable seagulls, to an “Afternoon Tea Party at the Ritz” at Sunrise of Bramhall, visitors flocked to the nationwide events to enjoy spectacular food.
